Web 2.0 explorations
Since I returned home, I've been online full time, learning new online Web 2.0 tools. A colleague from Australia introduced me to two new websites: Wet Paint (a new wiki that is based in Seattle!) and Protopage (an AJAX Start Page). I am using my Wet Paint page to plan a workshop in Melbourne next March. I am using my Protopage to emulate an aggregator for my new model of ePortfolio development, as discussed in my EIFEL conference keynote (small pieces, loosely joined).

Hi, Helen. Thank you for your web site and blog.
You've probably already heard about this, but did you know there is a free international K-12 Online Conference going on right now? Many of the sessions seem to be about Web 2.0. You can get to it by going to http://k12onlineconference.org/. It started yesterday and runs for two weeks.
I also wanted to tell you that I was touched by your podcast "Changes." I hope you are doing well, and I'm sending light and love your way.
I posted recently about StartPages including Protopage not that long ago and though you might want to check out some other possibilities. I am trying to use PageFlakes as my e-portfolio joining glue and it has so many capabilities and possibilities. Looking forward to your reurn trip to Australia in 2007.
