K-12 Student Portfolio

I just received permission to share an amazing student portfolio, that has been maintained in a single school from Kindergarten to senior year. The portfolio was created with Apple's iWeb, and represents learning in a Multiple Intelligences curriculum.

A great example of what I hope we can offer all students. This portfolio shares so much more about a student than a single score on a standarized test. When we see more of this we'll know that we have created a learner-centered environment.

I like the balance between rubrics and portfolios. I too use both, however since I see over 625 different students a week, portfolios would be a challenge to keep up with. I hope next years schedule will not be as hectic. Do you have any suggestions for keeping up with portfolio assessment for someone with a lot of students?

Thanks,

Thomas
